A serious and rare accident occurred in the southern Athens suburb of Voula on Wednesday morning when a crane truck crashed into power lines.
According to ERT, a person was reportedly on the crane truck at the time of the incident and sustained severe injuries.
The injured individual was transported unconscious to the Asklipieio Hospital of Voula under police escort and reports indicate that the person has died.
Emergency responders, including police, firefighters, and paramedics (EKAB), arrived at the scene, while crews from DEDDIE (the electricity distribution network operator) are also expected to assess the situation and the cause of the accident.
