Woman Survives Wolf Attack in Central Greece

A woman fought off a wolf for nearly 10 minutes while walking with her flock in a mountainous area, according to local reports

A woman in central Greece survived a frightening wolf attack after reportedly fighting off the animal for nearly 10 minutes in a remote mountainous area.

The incident took place near the village of Magoula in the region of Dorida, where the woman had been walking with her flock when the wolf suddenly appeared and attacked her.

According to local reports, the woman was shocked when she came face-to-face with the animal and immediately tried to drive it away by shouting and striking it with a wooden staff.

She later described the wolf as extremely large and aggressive, saying it approached with its mouth open, growling and drooling.

The woman reportedly continued hitting the animal with her staff for around 10 minutes before finally managing to force it to retreat.

After the attack, she alerted local forestry authorities, who are now investigating the incident.
