Greece’s national race, the Acropolis Rally, is picking up speed once again in about a month, with a new design and a super special stage that, according to organizers, will make a very strong impression worldwide.
Specifically, the EKO Acropolis Rally, which will take place from June 25 to 28, is turning a new page. It will be based in Loutraki, and the iconic Greek event is, of course, part of the World Rally Championship (WRC). This means that the world’s best drivers will take part, competing on some of the most traditional and rugged special stages.
Organizers chose Loutraki as the rally’s new base, while the Greek rally will consist of 17 demanding special stages and 323.21 competitive kilometers. There will also be innovations focused on the format of the special stages. This year, the Acropolis will touch three regions- Attica, the Peloponnese and Central Greece- offering a unique blend of tradition and modern racing philosophy.
As for the ‘Super Special Stage,’ it will take place at The Ellinikon Sports Park and will be the first competitive moment of the 2026 EKO Acropolis Rally.
The EKO Super Special Stage will be on asphalt, with a total length of 1,860 meters, and will be held on a dual layout, with two race cars moving in parallel.
