Olympiacos were crowned 2025–26 Basket League champions after producing a commanding performance in the decisive fifth final, defeating Panathinaikos 89–85 to lift the trophy.
The Reds controlled the contest from start to finish, holding the lead throughout and ultimately earning a deserved victory. Panathinaikos mounted several comeback attempts, but Georgios Bartzokas’ side consistently found the answers at key moments to keep their rivals at bay.
Nikola Milutinov was the standout performer for Olympiacos, dominating at both ends of the floor and imposing his presence in the paint. Evan Fournier and Sasha Vezenkov also delivered outstanding performances in support. For Panathinaikos, Mathias Lessort, T.J. Shorts and Vassilis Toliopoulos were the team’s most influential contributors.
The triumph marks the 16th Basket League title in Olympiacos history and their fourth domestic crown in the last five seasons, further underlining the club’s sustained dominance.
It also caps a remarkable campaign for Bartzokas’ men. Olympiacos opened the season by winning the Super Cup and, just over a month ago, celebrated EuroLeague glory.
With the domestic championship now added to their collection, the Piraeus club has completed a memorable treble and firmly established itself as the dominant force in Greek and European basketball this season.
