Olympiacos claimed the Women’s Champions League water polo title on Saturday after producing a dramatic comeback to defeat Hungary’s Ferencvaros 17-14 in a penalty shootout in the Final Four championship match.

The Greek side secured its fourth European crown after overturning a two-goal deficit in the closing stages of regulation time before prevailing in the shootout.

Olympiacos appeared on the brink of defeat with just 1 minute and 20 seconds remaining, trailing by two goals. However, late strikes from Andrews and Santa, the latter coming just 13 seconds before the final buzzer, leveled the score and forced the contest into penalties.

Goalkeeper Britt van den Dobbelsteen proved decisive in the shootout, delivering three consecutive saves to deny Ferencvaros and swing the momentum in Olympiacos’ favor.
