Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis personally congratulated Olympiacos’ leadership, coaching staff and players for their EuroLeague triumph.

Greek Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis welcomed and congratulated Olympiacos B.C. at the Maximos Mansion on Friday, May 29, following the club’s triumphant EuroLeague title win.

Olympiacos were crowned Kings of Europe last Sunday, sparking scenes of jubilation among their supporters after defeating Real Madrid Baloncesto to capture the coveted trophy.

Arriving at the prime minister’s office earlier in the day were Olympiacos BC presidents Panagiotis Angelopoulos and Giorgos Angelopoulos, head coach Giorgos Bartzokas, team captain Kostas Papanikolaou and guard Thomas Walkup.

Bartzokas, widely nicknamed “the chess master” for his tactical approach to coaching, presented the prime minister with a selection of commemorative gifts, including a chess set symbolizing his strategic reputation on the sidelines.

Mitsotakis personally congratulated the club’s leadership, coaching staff and players for their EuroLeague triumph, as the Olympiacos delegation proudly brought the championship trophy with them to the Maximos Mansion.
