The Diamond League finals take place in Brussels tonight, Friday, September 4, with strong Greek interest as Miltos Tentoglou and Emmanouil Karalis bid for the coveted Diamond Trophy in their respective events.
At 8:38 p.m., Tentoglou will compete in the men’s long jump final against some of the world’s leading jumpers. The Olympic champion enters with the best mark in the field at 8.66m and will look to maintain his excellent form. His main rivals include Switzerland’s Simon Ehammer, Bulgaria’s Bozhidar Saraboyukov, and Jamaicans Tajay Gayle and Wayne Pinnock.

Later, at 9:59 p.m., Karalis will take his turn in the men’s pole vault final. Fresh from his impressive 6.20m clearance in Zurich, the Greek champion will once again face Mondo Duplantis in another high-profile duel between two of the event’s leading athletes.
Duplantis comes into the final with the top mark of 6.31m, while Karalis follows at 6.20m, having established himself as a genuine contender at the highest level. The field also includes Curtis Marshall, Sondre Guttormsen, Sam Kendricks, Baptiste Thiery and Ben Broeders.
