Greece’s delegation has arrived in Ankara for the NATO Summit, which takes place on July 7 and 8 with Turkey as host.
Turkish media report that arrivals of leaders and delegations continue in the Turkish capital, where the summit is unfolding against a backdrop of heightened geopolitical uncertainty, with strengthening the alliance’s collective defense as its central focus.

As the Greek delegation arrived in Ankara, NATO Secretary General Mark Rutte announced a 40 billion dollar package of defense procurement programs that includes Greece. “Allies and the defense industry on both sides of the Atlantic will unveil major new projects and sign contracts worth literally billions of dollars.
These are investments that strengthen our security, our economies, and create hundreds of thousands of new jobs,” Rutte said at the opening of the forum.
Rutte said the initiative includes Belgium, Canada, Denmark, Finland, Greece, Italy, Luxembourg, the Netherlands, Norway, Spain, Sweden, and Turkey.
