A doorbell camera captured the moment a New York man was struck by lightning as severe storms moved through Staten Island last week.
As reported in ABS News, Fahmy described experiencing intense and unfamiliar sensations immediately after the strike.
“Once the lightning bolt struck me, the initial sensations that I had throughout my whole body were like completely unprecedented, tingling, numbness, pain,” he said. “I feel this burning sensation.”

Man spends night in hospital
Fahmy was taken to a hospital, where he remained overnight for observation and underwent multiple examinations.
He said doctors found no burns on his body. “No burns. I had multiple body exams, no burns at all,” Fahmy said.
After the incident, Fahmy said he went to church Sunday to express his gratitude. “I went on church Sunday to say thank you God,” he said.
The following Saturday, Fahmy also bought a Mega Millions lottery ticket.
