Heavy police forces, the canton’s disaster management unit, and a military helicopter have rushed to the scene. The identity of the perpetrators remains unknown for now, and the operation is still fully underway.
An eyewitness who spoke to the Swiss newspaper Blick described moments of panic, saying she initially assumed the noise was coming from fireworks. Only when someone shouted “everyone down” did she and other attendees rush to take cover under the DJ booth.

According to local media, the strict instruction from authorities telling the public to stay away from the area suggests the perpetrators remain at large and may still be fleeing. Videos shared on social media capture the panic as gunshots ring out in succession. The music event, which draws many young people, typically runs from early afternoon until 2 a.m.

According to local media reports, the danger has not passed, and searches are underway to locate the armed suspect, who remains at large. The annual event reportedly drew around 3,500 attendees. With police assistance, party-goers were moved to a nearby gymnasium for their safety.
