Greece continues to ride the wave of Hollywood, as megastar Brad Pitt was spotted in the coastal town of Nea Makri in East Attica for the shooting of his upcoming movie “The Riders”.
The small town is the third location the production crew relocated to after shooting scenes on the island of Hydra, Chalkida, and downtown Athens.
Locals were pleasantly surprised on Thursday morning when they got a glimpse of Brad Pitt entering a hotel in Nea Makri along with the movie’s team.
According to a Mega TV reporter, the 62-year-old, who has won two Oscars, entered the hotel through the back door to avoid the paparazzi.

The hotel, which has hosted many renowned political, economic, and cultural figures in the past, including Aristotle Onassis and recently departed entertainer George Marinos, was chosen because of its aesthetics reminiscent of the 80s.

Filming in Nea Makri will continue on Friday, before the production moves to a different location.
The movie is based on the same-name novel by Tim Winton and is directed by Edward Berger. Brad Pitt plays the role of Fred Scully, while co-starring alongside him are Julianne Nicholson and Coco Greenstone.
The story follows a man who settles in Europe with his family, only to deal with the mysterious disappearance of his wife. The search that follows turns into a journey filled with suspense and emotional twists, according to publicity material.
