The world’s most captivating celebration of Van Gogh’s art has finally arrived in Athens.
After sold-out runs in more than 30 countries and over 12 million visitors worldwide, Vincent van Gogh: The Immersive Experience opens its doors this week at the Goudi Olympic Complex, offering Greek audiences a breathtaking new way to step inside the mind — and colors — of the Dutch post-impressionist painter.

Far more than a conventional exhibition, this multi-sensory production transforms 3,000 of Van Gogh’s iconic paintings, sketches, and animated scenes into a spectacular, floor-to-ceiling digital environment. Walls, columns, ceilings, and floors are turned into living canvases by 60 high-definition projectors, enveloping visitors in a universe of light and emotion — a kind of visual planetarium that pulses with the artist’s feverish brushstrokes.

“The technology doesn’t just reproduce the art — it amplifies it,” say the organizers. Through motion, sound, and scale, visitors experience Van Gogh’s work as a journey through the painter’s own turbulent psyche: the fragile space between madness and genius that fueled his groundbreaking vision.

A highlight of the show is the Virtual Reality Room, where visitors embark on a dreamlike tour through Van Gogh’s world — walking among sunflowers, wheat fields, and the night skies that stirred his imagination. Nearby, an interactive art workshop allows guests to create their own sketches and watch them come to life on a digital wall.
The result is a deeply emotional and participatory encounter with art: you don’t just look at Van Gogh — you inhabit his world.
A Global Phenomenon Comes to Athens
Produced in collaboration with the internationally acclaimed Exhibition Hub, The Immersive Experience has been hailed as one of the most innovative cultural shows of the decade. Now, for the first time, it invites the Athenian public to lose themselves in its dazzling universe — an homage to creativity, color, and the human spirit.

The exhibition opens on October 22, 2025, and runs until December 20 at the Olympic Center Goudi (Building B02).
Tickets are available via www.ticketservices.gr, with some days already sold out due to high demand.
