U.S. Ambassador to Athens Kimberly Guilfoyle has confirmed that both President Donald Trump and Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth are planning visits to Greece in 2026, with the two potentially arriving together ahead of a NATO Summit in Turkey.

Speaking to journalists from  Greece’s national public broadcaster (ERT) during a visit to the organization’s headquarters on Mesogeion Avenue in Athens, Ambassador Guilfoyle revealed that Hegseth is expected to travel to Greece in early July. She also confirmed that Trump himself is planning a visit to the country before the year is out.

According to reports, there is a possibility that Trump and Hegseth could travel to Greece jointly, with the visit potentially serving as a stopover on their way to Turkey for the NATO Summit. Guilfoyle noted that both Trump and Secretary of State Marco Rubio are set to attend the Alliance’s summit in Turkey.
