Capital Clean Energy Carriers Corp. (CCEC), an international shipping company, reported a 44% increase in revenue to $138.1 million in the third quarter of 2026, compared with $95.6 million in the same period of 2025.
During the three-month period ended Sept. 30, 2026, CCEC took delivery of one liquefied natural gas carrier (LNG/C), one Handy liquefied CO2 and multi-gas carrier (HMG/C) and one dual-fuel medium gas carrier (MG/C).
The company secured new charters for two LNG carriers and four gas carriers, including a one-year index-linked time charter for one of the six LNG carriers under construction and a one-year time charter for the MG/C Aridaios. CCEC achieved average daily time charter equivalent (TCE) rates of $83,862 for its LNG carrier fleet and $40,987 for its gas fleet.
CCEC declared a dividend of $0.15 per share for the third quarter of 2026, payable on Nov. 12 to shareholders of record on Nov. 3.
CCEC CEO Kalogiratos said:
“The third quarter of 2026 was characterized by continued uncertainty in the Middle East, with LNG carrier transits through the Strait of Hormuz taking place only intermittently. Although growing North American liquefaction capacity partly cushioned the impact, the resulting reduction in LNG volumes from the Middle East tightened supply in the Atlantic Basin LNG market, with European storage levels at multi-year lows ahead of winter and Asian buyers competing for US cargoes.
“At the same time, increased deliveries of newbuild vessels and greater vessel availability led to a softening of spot LNG shipping rates compared with first-half levels. Our strategy of employing latest-generation vessels on long-term charters with high-quality counterparties has insulated CCEC from this short-term volatility.
The fleet
“Since the beginning of the year, we have taken delivery of eight vessels — three LNG carriers, two MG/Cs and three HMG/Cs — with a further eight scheduled for delivery in 2027.
“Our operating fleet now comprises 15 latest-generation LNG carriers, three HMG/Cs, two MG/Cs and one Neo-Panamax container vessel. A further six LNG carriers, four MG/Cs, one HMG/C and one liquefied natural gas bunkering vessel (LNGB/V) are on order.
“CCEC is the largest US-listed LNG shipping company by fleet size, with a substantial and growing presence in the liquefied petroleum gas (LPG) market. The average firm contract duration is 6.4 years for our LNG carrier fleet and 0.7 years for our LPG and multi-gas fleet.
“Our contracted revenues total approximately $2.8 billion, rising to about $4.2 billion if all charterers’ options are exercised, providing strong visibility into future cash flows.”
Well positioned
“Looking ahead, we expect the LNG shipping market to remain volatile, given the geopolitical uncertainty affecting LNG shipping volumes, vessel supply and commodity arbitrage opportunities. However, we remain confident in the market’s long-term fundamentals.
“New liquefaction capacity expected to come online by the end of the decade, combined with a growing emphasis on energy security, is expected to support demand for LNG. In addition, the need to replace older, less efficient vessels is likely to boost demand for modern LNG carriers.
“These fundamentals position CCEC well to generate long-term value for our shareholders.”
