Cloudy spells, cooler temperatures and strong northwesterly winds are expected across Greece on Monday with a small chance of rain in the east and south. Visibility will be locally limited overnight, while strong northwesterly winds are expected in the Dodecanese.
According to meteorologists, partly cloudy skies are expected at times, mainly across the eastern and southern parts of the country, where there is a chance of brief, localized showers.
From the evening hours, visibility will be locally limited, particularly in mainland areas. Concentrations of African dust will also remain relatively elevated across southern Greece.
Temperatures in Western Macedonia will range from 8 to 24-26°C (46 to 79-79°F). In the rest of Macedonia and Thrace, temperatures will range from 12 to 27-29°C (54 to 81-84°F), while in Thessaly they will range from 15 to 29-31°C (59 to 84-88°F). In Epirus, temperatures will range from 15 to 27-29°C (59 to 81-84°F). Across the rest of the country, temperatures will range from 16 to 29-31°C (61 to 84-88°F), while in the Ionian Islands they will range from 17 to 28-30°C (63 to 82-86°F). Temperatures in the Aegean islands and Crete will range from 17 to 28-30°C (63 to 82-86°F).
Winds in the Aegean will blow from northerly directions at 4-5 Beaufort, except in the Dodecanese, where northwesterly winds will reach 5-6 Beaufort. In the Ionian Sea, northwesterly winds will reach 3-4 and locally 5 Beaufort.
In Attica, temporarily increased cloud cover is expected, with a chance of localized drizzle. Winds will be mainly northeasterly at 3-4 and locally 5 Beaufort. Temperatures in central Athens will range from 22 to 29°C (72 to 84°F).
In Thessaloniki, partly cloudy skies are expected, while visibility will be locally limited during the evening hours. Winds will be light, shifting to southerly directions during the afternoon at 3-4 Beaufort. Temperatures in the city center will range from 17 to 29°C (63 to 84°F).
