A fire broke out Thursday in a power transformer belonging to DEDDIE (Greece’s public power distribution operator), located near the railway lines close to the intersection of Liosion Street and Stratigou Kallari Street in Kato Patisia, Athens.
Fire crews responded immediately, and DEDDIE shut off power to the area as a precaution. Traffic police rerouted vehicles around the site, with diversions in effect at the Liosion/Stratigou Kallari junction and at Liosion’s intersection with Kourtidou.
