Four in ten Greeks are on the verge of changing jobs, as more than half of the country’s workforce believes that now is a good time to find new employment, according to findings from a global survey conducted by analytics firm Gallup.

The findings highlight a significant decline in Greek workers’ satisfaction with both their lives and their career prospects. At the same time, a majority of workers report experiencing high levels of stress in their professional environment.

According to the data, 39% of employees — a slight increase from last year — said they are either actively searching for a new job or considering a change. Greece ranks second only to Finland among 38 European countries in terms of the share of workers intending to leave their current positions.
