Greece is set for another warm day on Monday, September 7, with temperatures expected to reach 38 degrees Celsius and northerly winds strengthening to as much as 7 Beaufort in parts of the Aegean.
According to meteo.gr, the meteorological service of the National Observatory of Athens, skies will be generally clear, with temperatures remaining relatively high for the time of year. Mostly sunny conditions will prevail, with limited local cloud cover developing around midday and in the afternoon, mainly over mountainous areas.

Temperatures are forecast to range from:
- Western Macedonia: 15 to 29 C
- Macedonia and Thrace: 18 to 32 C
- Thessaly: 21 to 34 C
- Epirus: 21 to 37 C
- Central Greece and Peloponnese: 20 to 38 C
- Ionian Islands: 18 to 35 C
- Northern and Eastern Aegean islands: 22 to 34 C
- Cyclades: 22 to 32 C
- Dodecanese: 20 to 37 C
- Crete: 21 to 33 C
Strong winds in the Aegean
Northerly winds in the Aegean will reach 4 to 6 Beaufort, while locally in the waters around the Dodecanese and Crete they will strengthen to 7 Beaufort.
In the Ionian Sea, winds will be variable at 2 to 4 Beaufort.
Forecast for Athens and Thessaloniki
In Attica, sunny conditions are expected, with northerly winds of 2 to 4 Beaufort, strengthening to 3 to 5 Beaufort from morning through the afternoon. Temperatures in central Athens will range from 27 to 34 C.
In the Thessaloniki area, sunny weather is also forecast. Winds will be variable at up to 3 Beaufort before temporarily shifting to southerly winds of 2 to 4 Beaufort around midday and in the afternoon. Temperatures in central Thessaloniki will range from 25 to 31 C.
