Greece falls within the range of Iranian ballistic missiles, according to a new statement published by Israel’s embassy in Athens, raising concerns as tensions in the Middle East continue to escalate.

In a post on social media platform X, the embassy said that “the threat of the Iranian regime is not directed only at Israel and countries in the region,” adding that “the range of Iranian ballistic missiles extends into Europe.”

The post included a graphic outlining missile ranges, indicating that Greece is among the countries within reach, while others such as Germany and France appear outside that range.

The statement has sparked discussion in Greece, highlighting the broader geographic scope of the threat described by Israeli diplomatic authorities, which they say is no longer confined to the Middle East.

At the same time, heightened security alerts have been reported in Cyprus. Authorities temporarily evacuated an airport following reports of a suspicious airborne object, while warning sirens were activated earlier in the day in another area.

Developments come amid ongoing regional tensions, with missile strikes reported and multiple countries assessing their involvement or response as the situation continues to evolve.
