New Democracy politician Afroditi Nestora has been transferred to Papanikolaou Hospital in Thessaloniki, which has a dedicated burn unit and plastic surgery clinic. She was initially treated at Ippokrateio Hospital for burns to her hands and legs, suffered during the arson attack on her appartment building in the Analipsi neighborhood early Wednesday morning.
According to reports, her father, Panagiotis Nestoras, who has been hospitalized in Ippokrateio’s pulmonology clinic for breathing problems after the incident, is expected to be discharged as soon as Thursday afternoon. Another resident of the building that was targeted is also being treated in the same clinic and is expected to be released Friday.
A fourth resident has been discharged from the pulmonology clinic but was transferred to Ippokrateio’s coronary care unit due to heart problems she is currently dealing with.
