Greek authorities are reviewing new CCTV footage related to the disappearance of 16-year-old Laura, who went missing from the city of Patras on Thursday, January 8. The video, aired by public broadcaster ERT, is considered a key piece of evidence in the ongoing investigation.

The footage, captured by a security camera in the Rio area where the teenager lived, shows Laura standing outside a shop with her school bag, talking to an adult man. The images were recorded on the morning of the day she disappeared. After that moment, her trail goes cold.

According to available information, Laura later traveled to Athens by taxi, while the man seen in the video reportedly left the area in a black car accompanied by another underage girl. Police in Patras are examining the case closely and have urged anyone with relevant information to contact the authorities.

Laura moved to Greece from Germany three years ago with her family. Friends say she struggled to adapt to life in Patras, facing language barriers and difficulties at school. In recent months, she had reportedly been selling personal belongings online to raise money, allegedly with the aim of returning to Germany, where her brother lives. A Missing Alert has been issued for her disappearance.

Speaking to local media, Laura’s father said she left for school and never returned. He expressed concern over reports that she traveled alone by taxi to Athens, questioning how such a journey was allowed for a minor.

A close friend also described Laura’s emotional challenges following the move to Greece, noting that she had limited contact with friends and had recently changed her phone, making communication difficult. Authorities continue to investigate as concern for the teenager’s safety remains high.
