A 37-year-old Palestinian suspect has been ordered into pre-trial detention in Greece after being accused of planning a terrorist attack against a target connected to Israeli interests.

The decision was made following a lengthy hearing lasting more than six hours, during which the suspect provided detailed testimony to investigating authorities. According to reports, he spoke about alleged recruitment methods, individuals involved, and events connected to a trip he made to Malaysia.

Claims of coercion and recruitment abroad

During questioning, the man reportedly claimed that he was coerced and threatened through pressure involving his family, who reside in Gaza. He said he was misled into traveling abroad under the pretext of working as an electrician in Malaysia, where he alleges he was later threatened and trained against his will.

He also referred to receiving €10,000, which he said was intended for the procurement of explosive materials. Authorities have not independently verified these claims.
