Greek police have arrested three women accused of stealing wallets and personal belongings from tourists in the popular Santorini village of Oia.

According to authorities, the suspects — aged 13, 40 and 57 — were detained on Saturday, May 16, following an investigation by the Santorini security division.

Police allege the group took advantage of heavy crowds in Oia, one of the island’s busiest tourist destinations, to steal a handbag and a wallet from two visitors without being noticed. The stolen items reportedly contained cash, bank cards and personal belongings.

Investigators said the three women had travelled to the island with the intention of carrying out thefts in areas frequented by tourists. Their movements were identified through targeted police operations.
