Traffic regulations will be implemented today on Poseidonos Avenue and other roads in the Southern Suburbs of Attica due to a controlled explosion to neutralize obsolete ammunition. Road adjustments will also take place in Kifisia due to ongoing construction work.
Traffic regulations will occur in road sections of the municipalities of Alimos, Glyfada, and Elliniko-Argyroupoli, as follows:
Gradual and complete suspension of vehicle traffic, between 11:00 AM and 1:00 PM, on the following road sections:
Poseidonos Avenue, from the intersection with Alimos Avenue up to the height of Vergoti Square in both traffic lanes.
Eurialos Street
Theta Street, from its junction with the side street of Poseidonos Avenue to its junction with Ellinikou Street
Iota Street
Ellinikou Street, from its junction with Theta Street to its junction with Iota Street.
Parking and stopping of vehicles are prohibited until noon (1:00 PM) today on the following roads:
Eurialos Street
Theta Street, from its junction with the side street of Poseidonos Avenue to its junction with Ellinikou Street
Iota Street
Ellinikou Street, from the height of Theta Street to the height of Iota Street.
The Traffic Police urge drivers to choose alternative routes via Vouliagmenis Avenue and/or other municipal roads of the Glyfada and Elliniko-Argyroupoli municipalities.
Traffic regulations on Kifisias Avenue, in the direction towards Piraeus, are implemented due to construction work from today until Friday.
There will be a complete suspension of vehicle traffic in the right lane of Kifisias Avenue, 250 meters before the exit towards Agias Annis Street and until the exit, in the direction towards Piraeus, from 10:00 PM to 6:00 AM the following day.
There will be a complete closure of the exit towards Agias Annis Street for vehicles, except for the vehicles of OASA and KTEL.
Alternative routes are the following:
A) Kifisias Avenue (towards Piraeus) – right exit towards Agioi Anargyroi Street – left on K. Palaiologou – right on Parodos 7th (Agioi Anargyroi Church) – left on Mpichaki – right on Agias Annis – right crossing of OSE lines – left on Agias Annis – right or left on Strg. Makrygianni.
B) Kifisias Avenue (towards Piraeus) – right exit towards Piraeus – left U-turn towards Lahanagora – straight entrance towards Kifisias Avenue towards Lamia – straight on Kifisias Avenue towards Lamia – right exit towards Agias Annis / Legakis – left on Agias Annis Bridge – straight on Strg. Makrygianni.
