Two earthquakes struck off the island of Kasos, the southernmost island of the Dodecanese, located between Crete and Karpathos in the southeastern Aegean Sea on the weekend, according to the Geodynamic Institute of Athens.

A magnitude 3.5 tremor hit at 12:35 on Sunday, May 31, with its epicenter 25 kilometers west of the island at a focal depth of 18.3 kilometers. A slightly stronger magnitude 3.7 quake had struck the same area at 06:54 on Saturday, centered 33 kilometers west of Kasos at a depth of 10.5 kilometers. No damage or injuries were reported.
