Thousands of Panathinaikos fans have flocked to the Athens International Airport and the Greens’ home ground at OAKA stadium to welcome the new Euroleague basketball champions.
The team’s arrival was scheduled for 1:30 PM, but the plane landed slightly later at Eleftherios Venizelos Airport. Fans have already started a festive celebration at the airport, chanting in honor of the team’s trophy.
Upon arrival, the players and coach boarded an open-top, double-decker bus and headed to OAKA, where the celebrations for the historic seventh star will continue.
Following yesterday’s 95-80 victory over Real Madrid in the Euroleague final, Panathinaikos fans took to the streets to celebrate their seventh European title all across Greece.
