Airport p0assenger traffic at terminals managed by Fraport recorded an 8.1% rise in January 2026, according to Fraport Greece.

In detail, 710,000 passengers were transported at Fraport terminals, fifty-four thousand more compared to the respective month of last year.

The Thessaloniki airport posted the largest increase, with 25,000 more travelers (5.8%) being served in January. The uptick is attributed to domestic passengers.

A rise in international traffic (+4.6%) was largely due to visitors from Turkey, the UK, Sweden and France, while Cyprus and Austria recorded the largest drop.

International traffic remained limited at most airports managed by Fraport, with the exception of Thessaloniki Airport (SKG), which operates international routes year-round, and Chania Airport (CHQ), which maintains scheduled connections to and from Cyprus.
