New Auditions for the Next James Bond

Amazon MGM Studios has officially launched a search for the next 007, with top casting director Nina Gold leading the process to find Daniel Craig's successor

The search for the next James Bond is officially underway, marking the beginning of a new era for the legendary secret agent 007.

According to Variety, Amazon MGM Studios has already begun auditions for the role, with Hollywood’s top casting director Nina Gold leading the process. The goal is to find an actor who combines the charm and dark edge of danger the role demands, succeeding Daniel Craig as the next James Bond, the character created by Ian Fleming.

Amazon MGM stated: “The search for the next James Bond is underway. While we don’t intend to comment on specific details during the casting process, we look forward to sharing more news with 007 fans when the time is right.”

The choice of Nina Gold for this next chapter of the film franchise is seen as a natural fit, given her extensive experience on high-profile productions. She has handled casting for landmark series such as HBO’s “Game of Thrones” and Netflix’s “The Crown,” and has played a pivotal role in the “Star Wars” universe, among other things selecting Daisy Ridley for the role of Rey.

The new James Bond film will be directed by Denis Villeneuve, known for “Dune,” “Arrival,” and “Sicario.” Producers Amy Pascal and David Heyman, who have a strong track record with blockbusters including the “Spider-Man” and “Harry Potter” franchises, will oversee the production. The screenplay is written by Steven Knight, creator of “Peaky Blinders,” while Tanya Lapointe from “Dune” will supervise execution of the production.
