Novak Djokovic, the record-breaking tennis champion with 24 Grand Slam titles, has quietly made a life-changing decision: he’s settling down in Greece with his family. His two children are already enrolled in a British school in Koropi, marking the start of a new chapter away from the turbulence back home.

According to the Daily Mail, Djokovic’s move was anything but random. The political unrest in Serbia weighed heavily on him, pushing the world No. 1 to seek a calmer environment. The star has even spoken openly about the turmoil:

“I hope tempers cool down. Things have escalated far too much—we’re practically on the brink of civil war. The situation is such that people don’t even care about sports anymore.”

While navigating this personal transition, Djokovic is also gearing up for his return to the court. He’s expected to headline a tournament he himself is organizing at Athens’ Olympic Stadium (OAKA).

But it’s not all about tennis. The Serbian legend has been enjoying his new surroundings, exploring Athens with visible enthusiasm. His latest stop? The Panathenaic Stadium, where he couldn’t resist testing his trademark sliding backhand.

Sharing photos with his 15 million Instagram followers, he captioned them: “A few (Olympic) snapshots from the weekend. Tried my sliding stretch backhand at the most historic sports venue in the world.”

For Djokovic, Greece is proving to be more than just a refuge—it’s becoming a stage for both family life and a fresh sporting chapter.
