Greek Defense Minister Nikos Dendias has highlighted strong prospects for closer cooperation between Greece and India in the fields of defense innovation and cutting-edge technology during an official visit to India.

Speaking after meetings in New Delhi, Dendias said there is “fertile ground for developing cooperation” between Greece’s Hellenic Center for Defense Innovation (ELKAK) and India’s Department of Defense Production (DDP). He emphasized that significant opportunities exist for synergies between the two countries’ defense ecosystems, particularly in innovation-driven sectors.

The Greek minister met with senior executives, chief executives, and research and development leaders from India’s state-owned defense enterprises, alongside representatives from private innovation companies. The discussions took place at the Indian Ministry of Defense’s Defense Production Center, focusing on future collaboration in advanced defense technologies.

In a post on the social media platform X, Dendias described the meeting as constructive, noting his interest in the presentations outlining potential areas of cooperation in defense innovation and technology development.
