Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis emphasized Greece’s interest in energy and transportation interconnection with Serbia, during a joint press statement with Serbian President Aleksandar Vučić in Belgrade, Monday.

“Our countries’ interconnection in energy and transportation is of particular interest to us,” emphasized Mitsotakis who arrived in Belgrade for a working visit.

Addressing his host, the Greek PM went on to say: “I feel like I’m at home. Thank you for the wonderful hospitality last night. I, along with my colleagues, feel positive about our forged relationships,”

Kyriakos Mitsotakis stated that the Serbian economy has shown impressive growth rates. “Speaking about Europe, Greece has been the most steadfast ally supporting the European perspective,” underscored Kyriakos Mitsotakis.

The PM will address the Greek-Serbian Business Forum held in Belgrade this afternoon, which has been organized in connection to Serbia’s hosting of the Specialized Expo 2027. Greece is the first country to be invited by Serbia to the 2027 event.
