Greek Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis, in his weekly Facebook review, called for restraint and a resumption of talks following the dramatic escalation in the Iranian-Israeli conflict after the U.S. bombed three nuclear sites on Sunday morning (Greek time).

“Europe must rise to the occasion in the interest of international peace and prosperity,” emphasized Mitsotakis in his review post.

“The international geopolitical landscape remains complex and concerning, particularly in the broader Middle East region. At this moment, the priority must be restraint and the resumption of dialogue. Any further escalation would only deepen instability in an already heavily burdened area,” the Greek PM noted.

“This issue, along with other critical matters related to the global security architecture, will be on the agenda at the upcoming NATO Summit in The Hague and the European Council meeting in Brussels next week. Europe must rise to the occasion in the interest of international peace and prosperity.”
