The dinner was held in the context of Donald Trump’s three-day tour of the Middle East.

The guests included the official representatives of the two nations, along with members of the international business community.

It is noted that Theodore Kyriakou maintains close relations with Donald Trump, but also with the Emir of Qatar through that nation’s Investment Authority.

During the official dinner, Mr. Kyriakou had a private conversation with both leaders on issues related to international business and political developments.

Trump’s Middle East tour

It will be recalled that Qatar was the second stop on the Middle East tour of the U.S. President, who announced deals there worth at least $1.2 trillion.

Trump was accompanied by a large business delegation interested in investment opportunities in the region.

What was on the agenda at the Emir of Qatar’s dinner

As the official Qatari press release notes, during the dinner, Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani stressed the close cooperation between the two countries in many fields, and in particular the energy sector. He also highlighted other major Qatari investments in the U.S. in the technology, artificial intelligence, hospitality, and other sectors.

The Emir stressed the desire of Qatar, the United States and their respective peoples to establish peace in the region and the world, noting the two countries’ joint diplomatic efforts to end the war in the Gaza Strip.

For his part, Donald Trump thanked the Emir for the reception and hospitality extended to him, and stressed his happiness at being the first American president to visit Qatar.
