“I See Differently”: Autism Inclusion In The Creative Industry

TV spots, vidcasts, hands-on workshops, and a Day of Dialogue and Action bring people on the autism spectrum together with creative industry businesses

The educational organization Training HUB announces the launch of the social initiative “vlepO diafOretika” (“I See Differently”), www.vlepodiaforetika.gr.

The goal of the initiative is to bridge two worlds: people on the autism spectrum, with their particular skills, dedication, and unique creativity, and creative industry businesses looking for new ideas and innovative ways of thinking.

A Different Perspective on Creativity

Many people on the autism spectrum have exceptional talents that fully match the demands of the creative industry, such as original thinking, strong attention to detail, and alternative perspectives.

Even so, they still face barriers to entering the job market because of stereotypes and lack of awareness. “I See Differently” aims to change this. It brings together businesses, professionals, educators, and the scientific community, turning inclusion from an intention into real action.

Four Actions, One Shared Goal

The 2026 program is built around four interconnected actions:

  • TV Spots: Four awareness spots that invite the public to rethink what they know about autism.
  • Vidcasts: Three themed discussions with public figures and professionals from the fields of autism and the creative industry, highlighting creativity from a different perspective.
  • Educational Activities: Two hands-on workshops on October 16, 2026, and November 6, 2026, at the Training HUB educational center, offering practical guidance and tools for applying inclusion in the workplace.
  • Day of Dialogue and Action: The initiative’s main event will take place on November 20, 2026, at the City of Athens’s Serafio. The event will bring together representatives of science, education, and the market for a day of meaningful dialogue, with free admission for the public.

“Creativity does not come in just one shape. With ‘I See Differently,’ we want to show that people on the autism spectrum can offer enormous value to the creative industry, as long as we create the right space and conditions. We invite every business in the sector to see differently, because ‘There is room for all of us. All of us can,'” said Efcharis Perpinia, General Manager of Training HUB.

Partnerships and Support

The initiative’s Strategic Supporter is EKKOMED, and its Partner Organization is Ippokampos, an association for people with disabilities. The TV spots are broadcast by media sponsors ALTER EGO MEDIA and ONE Channel.
