Μake us preferred on Google Shock has gripped Igoumenitsa in northwestern Greece following the murder of a 25-year-old woman at the hands of her partner on Sunday night. The 27-year-old suspect confessed to the killing, claiming that the couple had been involved in a heated argument and that he “lost control.”
The brutal murder came to light when the young woman was found dead on a bike path with knife wounds to her neck and legs. Her partner was found a short distance away with injuries to his chest. An ambulance from Greece’s National Emergency Care Center took him to the hospital, where he remains hospitalized under police guard.

Initially, the 27-year-old claimed that they had been attacked by a third person. His contradictory statements immediately raised suspicions among police. After questioning by authorities, he eventually confessed that he had committed the murder.
Describing what happened, he admitted that the couple had been involved in a heated argument, after which he lost control and fatally injured his partner.
He told authorities: “We had an argument, she insulted me and I lost control.”
The investigation remains fully underway as authorities seek to establish the exact causes and circumstances that led to the 25-year-old’s murder.
At the same time, investigators are examining all evidence collected at the crime scene, as well as information that could shed light on the events that preceded the attack.
