The Bodosakis Foundation is backing 64 new scholars for the 2026-2027 academic year, covering graduate studies, postdoctoral research, and short-term research visits at universities and research centers abroad.

Fields represented range from public health and climate adaptation to aerospace engineering, sustainable materials, and AI applications. Academic paths include environmental health at Yale focused on climate change and pollution impacts, advanced materials research at Delft University of Technology, and the study of artificial intelligence from a legal perspective at Oxford.

The scholarships fall under three programs.

• The 54th Regular Program funds graduate study in Greece and abroad.
• The Postdoctoral Research Fellowship Program, named for Stamatis G. Mantzavinos, offers four two-year fellowships with a possible one-year extension.
• The Visiting Research Scientists program, for scientists already working in Greece, covers stays of up to six months at foreign universities and research centers, including travel and living costs.

Some scholarships are funded through partnerships with KIKPE and the Hellenic Parliament, along with private donations. For the fifth year running, one graduate scholarship is covered by the “Scholarship of Scholars,” funded by contributions from the foundation’s past recipients.

Selection is based on academic record, motivation, a personal interview, and financial circumstances. The 64 new scholars join a community of more than 2,800 Bodosakis Foundation alumni.
