The 2025 EKO Acropolis Rally is set to take place from June 26 to 29, drawing motorsport enthusiasts to one of the most iconic racing events in Greece. The rally will feature 69 crews from 31 countries, competing across 17 demanding special stages, totaling 345.76 kilometers.
To ensure the safe and smooth conduct of the ceremonial start and the Super Special Stage, temporary traffic restrictions will be in effect in central Athens starting this evening and continuing through Thursday, June 26.
Traffic Measures for Wednesday, June 25
- From 18:00 (local time): Parking will be prohibited on Irodou Attikou Street, Karaiskaki Square (Diskovolos), and Akakion Street.
- From 20:00: Gradual and complete road closures will begin on the above streets.
Traffic Measures for Thursday, June 26
From 05:00: Stopping and parking will be prohibited on:
- Vasileos Konstantinou Avenue, from Vasilissis Sofias Avenue to Eratosthenous Street, in the direction toward Vouliagmenis Avenue, including all perpendicular streets up to the first parallel.
- Vasileos Konstantinou Avenue, between Eratosthenous and Ardittou streets, in both directions, including all perpendicular streets up to the first parallel.
From 10:00: Gradual and complete road closures will take effect on:
- Vasileos Konstantinou Avenue, in the same segments as above.
- Ardittou Street, along its entire length and in both directions, including adjacent streets up to the first parallel.
- Vasilissis Olgas Avenue, across its entire length and in both directions.
Exceptions and Further Information
Traffic measures may be extended or adjusted depending on prevailing conditions, at the discretion of the Athens Traffic Police Chief Officer. Exceptions to the restrictions apply to vehicles with special accreditation, as well as those operated by the Hellenic Police, Fire Department, and National Emergency Medical Services (EKAV).
