A jewelry store in Kolymbia, Rhodes, became the target of a daring robbery on Sunday night, with thieves making off with over €500,000 worth of valuables.

According to local reports, the incident occurred shortly after 8:30 p.m. when the shop owner stepped briefly to the back of the store. Two masked men, wearing rubber face coverings, suddenly appeared. One assailant restrained and assaulted the owner, while the other entered the shop and seized valuable jewelry.

Despite the store’s smoke alarm security system being triggered, the perpetrators managed to escape before authorities could respond.

The Rhodes Security Department has launched an investigation and is reviewing footage from nearby surveillance cameras. As of now, there are no leads on the identities of the suspects.
