Athens public transport services will operate on extended hours tonight, September 4, to support the large crowds expected at the Panathenaic Stadium for a tribute concert to the legendary Greek singer Stelios Kazantzidis.
The concert, organized by the initiative “Oloi Mazi Mporoume” (“All Together We Can”), will dedicate its proceeds to environmental causes, including the purchase of saplings and reforestation efforts.
Public transport will run until 1:00 a.m. across several key routes:
- Trolley lines 2, 4, 10, and 11
- Bus line 550
- Metro lines 2 and 3
- The Athens-Piraeus electric railway
- Tram line T6
The evening will feature some of Greece’s most renowned performers, including Themis Adamantidis, Konstantinos Argiros, Melina Aslanidou, Eleni Vitali, Yannis Dionysiou, Stelios Dionisiou, Peggy Zina, Melina Kana, Klavdia, Christos Mastoras, Dimitris Basis, Giota Negka, Pitsa Papadopoulou, Antonis Remos, Babis Stokas, Konstantinos & Matthaios Tsahouridis, Nefeli Fasouli, and Thodoris Ferris.
Actor Thodoris Atheridis will also participate, narrating parts of the evening.
