A motorcycle carrying two people was travelling directly behind the crane truck at the time of the accident. According to the video, the fallen section of the sign landed just a few centimeters in front of the motorcycle, causing the riders to briefly lose stability.

Despite the sudden danger, the two riders managed to keep control of the motorcycle and avoid falling. The footage shows how narrowly they escaped being hit by the falling structure on one of Athens’ busiest road routes.
