According to zarpanews.gr, ambulance crews with Greece’s National Emergency Aid Center (EKAV) are being called increasingly often to incidents involving excessive alcohol consumption, particularly during the night and early morning hours.
The surge is placing additional strain on emergency services, whose crews must also remain available for serious emergencies including traffic accidents and cardiac arrests.
