A wildfire erupted Wednesday afternoon, July 2, in the forested area of Mandrinia, Vourvourou, located on the Halkidiki peninsula, part of the Central Macedonia region.
Firefighting efforts have mobilized 15 vehicles and 30 firefighters, alongside the deployment of 8 aerial units.
The emergency alert system 112 was activated on mobile phones of residents and visitors in the area, urging them to evacuate towards Nikiti.
This fire follows an earlier alert regarding a blaze in the town of Marathonas, northeast of Athens.
