A French tourist was found dead aboard a sailing yacht anchored in the Corinth Canal, according to reports from local authorities.
The discovery was made after port and police officials noticed an unusual lack of movement on the vessel. Upon boarding the yacht to investigate, they found the man deceased inside.
Officials from the Hellenic Coast Guard and the Hellenic Police quickly arrived at the scene to launch an investigation into the circumstances surrounding the death.
At this stage, authorities have not found indications of foul play, though all possibilities remain under consideration.
The body has been transferred for autopsy in order to determine the exact cause of death.
