Greece is continuing efforts to repatriate its citizens from the Middle East as military tensions in the region disrupt air travel and force dozens of flight cancellations.
Authorities have scheduled 18 repatriation arrivals and 14 departures for Monday, while 25 planned flights have been canceled due to the ongoing conflict.
According to reports, several flights are expected to bring Greek nationals back to the country from high-risk areas across the region. These include eight flights departing from Israel, as well as additional flights from cities such as Dubai, Riyadh in Saudi Arabia, Amman in Jordan and Abu Dhabi in the United Arab Emirates.
The operations aim to safely return Greek citizens who remain in areas affected by the escalating crisis.
The repatriation effort has already brought hundreds of people back to Greece. On Saturday alone, 538 Greek citizens returned from Gulf countries on two flights—one operated by an Airbus A380 passenger aircraft and another by a military C-130 transport plane.
Officials say the operation will continue in the coming days as the situation in the Middle East remains unstable.
Greece’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs is providing ongoing updates about available flights and developments related to the repatriation process as authorities work to bring more citizens home safely.
