A burglar in Thessaloniki suffered a dramatic fall while attempting to flee a failed break-in at a coffee shop shortly after Easter midnight celebrations.
The incident unfolded when the man tried to break into the store but was spotted by a nearby resident. In a hurried escape, he jumped from a height of approximately 8 feet (2.5 meters), with the entire sequence captured on security camera footage.
The video shows the suspect searching for a way into the shop before climbing and entering through a glass storefront. Moments later, a neighbor noticed the activity and shouted at him, prompting the suspect to abandon the attempt.
Startled, he quickly tried to escape by jumping from an elevated position, leading to a hard fall.
During the attempted break-in and subsequent escape, the suspect caused damage to the property, including breaking the glass storefront and a protective security shutter.
