Greece will see passing clouds and occasional showers in several regions on Friday. Short-lived rain and isolated thunderstorms are expected mainly in the Ionian Sea, western mainland areas, the Peloponnese, Thrace, and across the eastern Aegean. Brief showers may also occur in the Cyclades and Crete. Dust concentrations will remain elevated over Crete and eastern parts of the country but will gradually diminish later in the day.
Temperatures will stay relatively warm for late October. Western Macedonia will range from 8°C to 22°C, while the rest of Macedonia and Thrace will see 12°C to 25°C. Thessaly will be warmer, reaching up to 28°C. In Epirus, temperatures will range from 15°C to 21°C, while Central Greece and the Peloponnese will reach up to 26°C. The Ionian Islands will stay between 19°C and 22°C, the northern and eastern Aegean islands between 16°C and 23°C, the Cyclades between 18°C and 24°C, the Dodecanese up to 25°C, and Crete as high as 27°C.
Winds in the Aegean will blow from the south at 3 to 5 Beaufort, turning westerly by afternoon, while in the Ionian, they will shift from southerly to northwesterly of similar strength.
In Athens, expect variable cloud cover throughout the day. Winds will start southwesterly at 2 to 4 Beaufort, becoming northwesterly by evening. Temperatures in the city center will range from 18°C to 26°C.
In Thessaloniki, intermittent cloudiness is expected with mild conditions. Winds will remain light and variable, up to 3 Beaufort. Temperatures in the city will range from 17°C to 24°C.
