Μake us preferred on Google Snow covered parts of Mount Olympus’ upper slopes on Saturday morning, including the Plateau of the Muses, after temperatures dropped overnight.
The fresh snowfall added to reports of snow on the mountain in recent days, as colder conditions spread across its highest elevations toward the end of September.
Images from the Plateau of the Muses on Sept. 26 showed snow across parts of the landscape and surrounding peaks, giving the area a distinctly wintry appearance despite the early stage of autumn.

The snow was confined to higher elevations, where temperatures had fallen low enough for it to settle.
The change in conditions marks the start of a more unsettled period on the mountain’s upper slopes, as hikers and mountaineers begin to watch for further snowfall in the weeks ahead.
Mount Olympus, Greece’s highest mountain, is also one of the country’s best-known landmarks, associated in Greek mythology with the home of the ancient gods.
