Μake us preferred on Google A new bridge is planned over the Loudia River near the same-name village on the old Thessaloniki-Athens national highway, replacing an old Bailey-type metal bridge that is too narrow to allow vehicles traveling in opposite directions to pass simultaneously.
The bridge forms the southern boundary of the village and currently requires motorists to give way according to vertical road signs because of its limited width.
The project also includes road safety and maintenance works along approximately 1.9 kilometers of the highway, with about 400 meters within the settlement and 1.5 kilometers outside it.
The works are intended to improve road safety for motorists using the old national route in the Loudia area.
The existing bridge is a prefabricated modular bridge system commonly used for rapid construction and temporary or permanent crossings.
