A security guard was injured during a violent incident at the bus depot of the Thessaloniki Urban Transport Organization (OASTH) in Stavroupoli, Thessaloniki, with police arresting two men following the confrontation.

According to police information, the incident occurred over the past 24 hours at the OASTH depot, where a 42-year-old security employee was reportedly attacked by a 60-year-old man, who allegedly struck him on the arm with a sledgehammer for reasons that remain unclear.

The situation escalated after the injured guard, who worked for a private security company, called a 59-year-old depot employee for assistance.

Authorities said the 60-year-old allegedly threatened and verbally abused the employee, who reportedly responded with physical violence. The incident caused disruption at the workplace and led to complaints being filed by both sides.

Police proceeded with the arrests of the two men, aged 60 and 59. The injured security guard received first aid at the scene and, according to the information available, did not require further hospital treatment.
