Sunday brings a mix of early summer warmth and classic spring variability. Most of Greece will bask in sunny skies, but if you’re in the central and northern mainland or near the Ionian, keep an umbrella handy—scattered showers and even a few thunderstorms could roll in over the mountains during the afternoon.

Clear skies will dominate the south and Aegean islands, while cloudier intervals are expected over the central and northern mainland and the Ionian, where local showers and isolated storms may develop in the afternoon, especially in the highlands.

Temperatures continue their upward trend, reaching:

  • 23°C in Western Macedonia (starting around 11°C),
  • 29°C in Eastern Macedonia, Thrace, and Epirus,
  • 30°C in Thessaly,
  • 31°C in Central Greece and Euboea,
  • 29°C in the Peloponnese and Crete,
  • and up to 27°C across the Aegean islands and the Dodecanese.

Winds will blow mainly from the south at 3–5 Beaufort. In the southeastern Aegean, northwesterly winds will prevail, reaching 4–6 Beaufort at times.

In Athens, expect mostly clear skies with passing high clouds. Winds will shift from northwesterly to southerly at 2–4 Beaufort. The mercury will rise from a morning low of 17°C to a warm 29°C in the afternoon.

In Thessaloniki, cloud cover will be more frequent, with local showers likely and a chance of isolated storms in the surrounding hills during the afternoon. Winds will be light and variable, and temperatures will range from 13°C to 25°C.
